Hi!
My name is Jelisaveta - a biomedical engineer by education, bioinformatics engineer by job title, soft skills trainer by passion and creative human being by heart. I enjoy working in the health tech field and contributing to the future of healthcare and precision medicine.
While trying to connect all my interests in life, I wanted to work in a field that gives me enough freedom to use my creativity and create novel solutions, a field that will have a positive impact on society and a field that will use technology to change the world. That is why I have landed in the bioinformatics field and obtained a Master's degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia.
Apart from that, for the last five years, I have enjoyed delivering soft skills training sessions with the aim to help people reach their full potential.
What advice would you give to a young professional interested in following your steps?
Combining technology with human sciences is the future of our world. If you see yourself as a bioinformatics engineer, prepare yourself for connecting the dots of many multidisciplinary areas and dive into the future of human genomics. Bioinformatics is a broad, very interesting topic that widely contributes to the future of healthcare and the development of precision medicine.

I can help with:
As a bioinformatics engineer, my main focus resides in researching the analysis which can inform us about different mutations in our DNA. I can help with data science tools, python programming, different tools for reading and analysing sequenced NGS data and working with AWS Cloud. As a soft skills trainer, I have been delivering training sessions on various topics for the past five years, and my main areas of expertise are public speaking, idea development, communications skills and conflict resolving.
